The world (at least from someone living in the USA) is going to s**t, including in my own country.
I am filled with anxiety and stress every single day.
I have done all I can, and will continue to do so.
That said, I have just updated the pricing on all my books for at least the month of February, so if you were hoping to get them now is a good time.
I just want people to be able to take a break from everything when they need to.

Okay, it's time to update everyone.
I realized that I hadn't posted in a while and then I realized I really hadn't communicated with anyone regarding author things in like a month. (SORRY)
My life has been exceedingly complicated and stressful over the last couple months but I definetly shouldn't have just disappeared and while not intentional I do feel very badly.
So in personal life updates, I was supposed to have surgery in December to hopefully resolve some ongoing medical issues and diagnostic at the same time. This ended up getting rescheduled and that's where things really started to get complicated, both for the schedule but also financially.
December was also the start to a lot of overtime hours at my day job, and that has continued, even last week.
January was the start of a housing search. Because I haven't had enough change lately *sarcasm* I am also relocating to a different area, still in Washington but somewhere rent is a bit more affordable and I can be closer to the people I care about. See I have spent the last year commuting 2 hours (often) to see friends, partners, etc. It's a lot of time to spend in a car.
I did find a new place to live and have secured that and all the things and actually move to the new place this weekend. I am super excited to be moved, and super stressed and just burnt out with everything it takes to work, live life, and move.
I also did have surgery. Surgery went well I'm optimitic that it was sucessful (for the time being - I did find out it'll be something of a stop gap for me). They found no malignancies so yay for not having cancer. They did find some other things that were not unexpected and will lead to another surgery sometime down the road, hopefully at least a year or two.

Author things. I am finally writing again. I had not written a single word since December prior to this week. I didn't realize how much I missed it but I also underestimated how burned out I was and think I needed the break.
I will have things coming up this year that you will learn about at the appropriate times.
If you made it to the end of this post know I am thankful for you and deeply sorry if you worried or were otherwise inadvertently ignored over the last month or two.

When I was really deep into writing Working Weekends, it struck me, there is no way I'm going to put out a wlw book with a trans lead character and not get push back from someone about it. Deep into that I realized it also covers some pretty hard topics. I feel like I did a good job relaying the struggles and mixing it with a grand amount of love, communication, and spice.
I've seen some reviews today and cannot be more thankful for the love the book is recieving thus far.

Working to hide parts of myself while also paying to be my true authentic self, well none of it comes cheap. Due to a great employer though, it does come without risk and quite a bit of fun. At twenty-two there weren’t exactly a ton of options for high paying jobs.
