As the summer temperatures continue to rise, we want to remind everyone to stay hydrated. 💦💧 At Longhouse Assisted Living Households this is our daily routine as we constantly remind and encourage both our clients and staff to increase their fluid intake. We also incorporate foods with high water content into our clients’ diets, including fruits like watermelon and oranges, as well as vegetables like cucumbers.

If there's one thing our seniors will never get bored of, is art and craft. Our latest project was a pecan pie craft and cookie activity - an excellent project aimed at providing sensory stimulation while tapping into nostalgia, all without the need for a kitchen or an oven.
