ever since i started subherban hippie, i wanted this space to be about sharing products that are sustainable, good for your body and actually work. sometimes, those products are mine (yay!), and sometimes they are a company or product that I swear by and recommend.

one natural product that has been tough for me to find and love is deodorant. some of the natural ones are sticky or leave you stinky before a sweat has even broken. needless to say, i have searched for years to find the perfect aluminum free, odor-fighting pit stick. i have also been on the hunt for a plastic-free option since i cringe thinking about all those deo tubes in landfills.

here are six of the best i have found. surprisingly, the one i was most skeptical of works the best!! the Hi-BAR bergamot cedar natural deodorant is awesome! my pits don’t feel sticky, it smells amazing, keeps odor at bay and comes in a compostable paper tube that works like a charm. OBSESSED.

i was trying to make my own deodorant, but think for now I’m going to leave this one to HiBAR. have you tried their deodorant?
