It is my final prep day before the Fiber Fair, it’s all about tagging and packing and maybe a little last minute batt making. I hope to see you tomorrow!

August 15th in Duvall, WA. I’m looking forward to vending and enjoying a great day! If you are in the greater Seattle area that weekend, come on by the Fair!
Fiber Fair prep is in extra full swing. It looks like I will have handspun yarn, dyed yarn, dyed fiber, some batts, a few rolags, and some washed Targhee x Wensleydale lamb wool to bring with. What are your favorite things to shop for at a market?

Tour de Fleece Stages 5-11 progress. I did spin on the rest day, I’m consolidating my rest days to this weekend so I can celebrate my anniversary without worrying about it. I finished the Merino/Bamboo I started the tour with, spun some Coopworth I scoured and processed to play with some art yarns with, and then I spun a thick and thin single of Targhee also from Mad Hatter Fibers also for art yarns. I was able to move on to plying and started chain plying the Merino/Bamboo yesterday as well, I’ll probably be plying for the next several stages after my break this weekend. Having the Tour happening now has been wonderfully grounding. I hope everyone is enjoying TdF this year whether spinning for records or just spinning to spin.

I’m so pleased to be participating in Tour de Fleece again this year. Here are the highlights from Stages 1-4. I started with this beautiful Merino and Bamboo top by Mad Hatter Fibers that I picked up during Fiber Fusion last month. I’m expecting to be finished the single sometime today during Stage 5. Then onto plying and the next spin!
Happy 4th of July and Stage 1 of Tour de Fleece! I have my work cut out for me getting my 15 minutes in today between consoling my poor dogs, but I’ll make it happen!
What are your Tour de Fleece Stage 1 plans?
Dyeing up some green fiber today, continuing my experiments.
