Me against me! 1st overall female this weekend in The Love Run 5k! It was kind of a small race, so I was solo out in front, which can be hard to push yourself without that pressure to compete! Considering I did this race on a wim, it was nice to get in a good workout and pull off a win in the process! This race was for a great cause. The funds go towards an American Red Cross domestic violence charity. Domestic violence is more common than we think and it has definitely touched my life, and people that I know, it’s also very difficult to get out of, so having support is necessary. ❤️
After the race I took my granddaughter to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine!! ☀️
This morning I met my friend Michelle for an easy 10 miles. It was pretty toasty but I was happy to have good company and conversation as the miles flew by!
7 days left of school! The out for the summer. I can smell the freedom!!😍

Happy Mothers Day 💕💕💕 Hanging with my girls on Mother’s Day was very special to me! I love that we got to go to brunch and hang out! Just the 4 of us! Yep! 4!!! Grand baby number 2 is on the way!!! Due in July! Now I’m gonna be grandma x 2 😂
Oh and it’s a girl!!!💕💕
Being a mom to adult children is definitely different, but I still worry about them just as much as when they were little! I feel very blessed to have my girls by my side!
I included a few pics from the past! So Keep swiping. ➡️
So many amazing memories with my girls when they were little! I do miss those days!! Some of the best moments of my life! Now making new memories with my granddaughter brings so much joy too!
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms, dog moms, step moms, soon to be moms …etc Hope you had a beautiful day💕💕

LIFE LATELY! ❤️🌟🏃🏼♀️I’ve been busy! Today I was so happy to get in my longest run since Boston! A whopping 8 miles, mostly pain free! Also while spectating at the Run for the Trees 5k!
The past few weeks have been very full!! Of good stuff mostly! The hip is feeling mostly better! I think I’ve figured it out, but I did go to the doctor and do have an MRI scheduled for Monday! Once I started stretching, rolling, and yes I did take some anti inflammatories, (which I usually don’t) it started to feel much better! I did a little minor “speed” workout at the track for Amy’s birthday workout, and felt pretty good! So hopefully it’s mostly behind me!!I also got a new car! Yay! I was due!
I ran the corporate 5k last week for fun, and have been hanging with my granddaughter Avah as much as I can. Did some bowling, blackberry picking, and a lot of walks with my dog Scooby who recently turned 10!
This past week was teacher appreciation week and some of my kids really made me feel special!! They take the AP exam this Tuesday! Only 12 days left of school!! Yay! Oh And Avah graduates kindergarten on Tuesday!!! So many things😅! Hope you are all doing well in this crazy world. Lately it’s gotten out of hand, but that’s a whole other conversation! lol. Let’s focus on the good things, right?
What’s good in your life?

THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS TO SMILE IN THE BOSTON MARATHON! 😃WELLESLEY COLLEGE GIRLS, AND SEEING PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE 2 OF THEM! 😂 Most of the race I was focused on hurting less and just getting to the finish. The distraction of the giving high fives in Wellesley was just was I needed! It didn’t take the pain away, put it reminded me of how special this course was and how important it was for me to get to the finish! I always try to smile. This year was so focused on my hip ,that I didn’t notice as many photographers. I did squeeze out a smile when I could.!! at the end of the day, I’m blessed to be able to run Boston, regardless of my circumstances! 6 days later I’m still sore. Lol. Needless to say my 18th Boston wasn’t my best, but it was a journey, and with each finish line I learn how strong I can be!
I must say, that I wasn’t fond of them backing up the line for the girls of Wellesley this year! It was must harder to do the high fives! Of all the years I’ve done this race. This was the first time they were so far back ! Anyway, I hope to change it back!
Also, congrats to all the London marathon finishers today! That is still in my bucket list! I was supposed to run it in 2020, when it got canceled. 😭

FINISH LINE IN VIEW, IN PAIN BUT DETERMINED 💙💛 BOSTON 2026 …
oh the face of pain. When I saw these pictures it really made took me back. Every step was so hard. Not just the last 500m but the entire 26.2. To say I’m thankful even though I was in pain is an understatement. At least I found half a smile at the finish!!
Even though this Boston wasn’t what I wanted it to be, I would do it all over again! I did find some reasons to smile during the race, which I will post about next! Thank you all so much for the kind messages and support! It truly meant so much!!!

The Boston Marathon streak continues! 18th Boston done(16th consecutive)
I wish I could say I just had fun today but from the start I felt the hip pain and honestly thought to myself, I may not finish! 26 miles is a LONG way to go in pain. I ignored it as much as possible, and was hoping it would maybe warm up or go numb, but it didn’t, so I just had to get more tough. 😅 I had to finish! Through the hills it got way worse to the point I couldn’t lift my leg very much. I slowed way down, and took baby steps.. determined to get to the finish line. I honestly shocked myself that I made it. Let’s just say I’m beyond thankful and happy with today’s result!
Congrats to all of you that ran today! We did it!!! 💛💙

CANT WAIT TO CROSS THIS FINISH LINE TOMORROW! 💙💛 Boston marathon
# 18 on deck! This race never gets old! It’s been a bumpy road to get here but I’m ready to finish strong! I pray my hip holds up! I took the last 6 days off for it to heal, so fingers crossed! Happy that Patrick is running this year too! He’s on the comeback!!
Good luck to everyone running tomorrow!! 💙💛 See ya on the other side! 💛💙

INJURY UPDATE! 🚨 After my hip put me in panic mode just days out from Boston, I couldn’t be more relieved to go see Dr Anders . I had already scheduled an appointment for a tune up for the race, but never imagined it would be to treat a new injury. Ugh. Before walking in there I was walking with a limp and couldn’t raise my leg past 45° when laying down. He worked his magic with some ART (active release technique) which helped tremendously. So many knots and lots of tightness in my joint, glute medius, and IT band.
He then hooked me up to the Emscult Neo Functional machine which accelerates healing and reduces inflammation. In the second frame of this post my doc explains this a little better.
I’m not out of the woods yet, but today I have less pain and can raise my leg all the way up when laying down with only minor pain. I’ve decided not to run possibly till race day, to ensure that I make it to the starting line. I will go back one last time for treatment before heading out to Boston!
I’m still excited, just with a little apprehension.
🙏🏼Calling on ALL the healing vibes!!! 🙏🏼
💙💛I want to continue my Boston streak! 💛💙
FYI I’ve been seeing Anders since 2015 and he has helped me stay healthy and has treated many of my niggles big and small! 😊
