Could Massachusetts’ gas tax be going away?

Gov. Maura Healey has filed legislation this week that would temporarily suspend the state’s 24¢-per-gallon gas tax, while also proposing measures aimed at lowering ticket prices and electricity bills and strengthening maternal health care. The proposal is now headed to the Legislature for consideration.
