I will be participating in a community meeting with ward 5 Councillor Maggie McKee on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 at the Beechwood Knoll school. The purpose of the meeting is to review traffic data compiled by TPAL on the roads off Quincy Shore Drive which included a couple of streets in ward 6.

Since speeding and traffic are concerns to many residents, I think the information on how TPAL carries out their monitoring and data collection, analysis, and recommendations is helpful for all to hear. Many folks want speed bumps on their street which is not an option because they impede emergency vehicles and plowing efforts.

I look forward to hearing more from TPAL on the work they do to measure and address traffic issues in the city.

$5,000 for creativity could be yours! The Mass Cultural Council launched the FY27 application cycle for its ‘Grants for Creative Individuals’ program and expects to award at least 490 creative individuals $5,000 each to help further a creative practice.
