Don’t wait for prices come down. Economics matter but focus on being ready. Get pre-approved for what you can comfortably afford, find a home and negotiate the best deal you can based on market comparable homes and buy when YOU ARE READY not waiting for an unrealistic expectation of the market to drop. My first home in MA was bought/built right before the 2008 crash, lost value and 7 years later was sold for 15% more than purchase. Not the best return but it was my HOME that we loved, raised our kids and enjoyed while receiving tax deductions and not paying a rent. Keep in mind that other financial instruments dropped in value during the same 2008 crash but also bounced back up.

5 Mistakes to Avoid When Buying a House

Family, friends, health, and work… I’m genuinely blessed.
I try to make them count by giving each some real attention. Family and friends? I literally keep a weekly “call people I love” to-do list, and yes, I schedule friend reunions like business meetings. 😄 Health? I work out daily to enjoy it and keep it… though sweets remain undefeated. And work? It’s something I GET TO DO, a chance to make a positive impact, if I remember that part.
