and after
When you pick up one of our frames, something is usually immediately noticeable. The weight. The way the hinges move. The way the color isn't painted on the surface but goes all the way through the material.
That's not an accident. That's what handmade actually means.
Most frames sold in the US, even the ones with designer names on them, come out of the same handful of large factories. The brand is a label. The frame is a product.
The makers we carry work differently. Small studios. Limited runs. Artisans who finish each frame by hand and have been doing it the same way for decades. Italy, Japan, Spain, the US. Places where someone's name is attached to what they make and that matters to them.
We spend a lot of time finding these makers. We only bring in what we'd actually wear ourselves. And we think it shows.
Frames are something you put on your face every single day. They should be worth it.
Come try some on. We love talking about where they come from.

Did you catch the tiny text? It might just change the way you think about eye exams.
Most people think an eye exam is only about updating their prescription, but it's so much more than that. Your eyes can provide valuable insights into your overall health, helping detect early signs of conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and autoimmune diseases.
Sometimes, your healthiest decision starts with looking a little closer. ✨
Don't just check your vision, check on your health, too.
Let's talk about something that sounds way scarier than it actually is. Mites on your eyelids (aka Demodex Blepharitis).
Demodex are microscopic mites that can live on your lids. They're a completely normal part of your skin's ecosystem, the same way certain bacteria live on your skin everywhere else on your body. Having them doesn't mean you did anything wrong or that you're not clean enough.
The issue isn't having them. It's having too many.
When the population grows beyond a normal amount, it's called demodex blepharitis, and that's when symptoms show up. Itching right along the lash line that just won't quit. Vision that fluctuates throughout the day. Styes that keep coming back no matter what you do. A gritty, irritated feeling that drops never seem to fully fix.
If any of that sounds familiar, this might be exactly what's been going on.
The good news is this is very treatable. We can actually see these under magnification during an exam, which is how we confirm what's happening. And there are now targeted treatments specifically designed to reduce the population back down to a normal, healthy level.
If you've been dealing with chronic lash line itching, recurring styes, or vision that just doesn't feel stable, let's take a look. There's a good chance we'll find your answer. 💙
