Coalescing the smooth tones of R&B and the rough edges of hip-hop music, Gareth Tong uses his diverse musical experience to tell his unique story. He is able to do this through the modern sensibilities of today’s pop music ethos. Having been born and raised in Hong Kong, Gareth brings an eastern metropolitan perspective to his music. As a producer, singer songwriter and violinist he takes inspiration from such contemporaries as Bryson Tiller, Zion T, The Weeknd and S*k K. Currently based out of Boston while studying at Berklee College of Music, his music has garnered the attention of record executive Kawan Prather as well as those from Warner Music. Gareth invites you to accompany him on his journey throughout this year as he continues to craft his soulful, experimental soundscape.
