Boston Lykeion ton Ellinidon, an organization founded in 1910 to educate Greek women, now has a mission to preserve Greek culture. To celebrate their anniversary, they had a program of dance, poetry, and history at the Maliotis Cultural Center in Brookline, MA. Vassiliki Rapti and Peter Botteas did a moving staged reading. Somerset Hall Press was honored to exhibit its books at this wonderful event.

Ambassador Ferit Hoxha, the Honorable Permanent Representative of Albania to the United Nations, spoke at the Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies at Emmanuel College about the role of the UN in times of conflict. Thank you to the Director of the Institute, Prof. Petros Vamvakas, for an edifying discussion on a timely topic. Also, very impressive questions from the International Relations students in the audience.

Alkistis Protopsaltis and Dimitris Mpasis in a Concert Tribute to Hellenism at the Berklee Center for the Performing Arts. I confess that I did not know their music well before but they have beautiful voices and put on a very lively concert. People were dancing by the end.
