Been a while since there’s been anything going on near me, just happy to have my 3D printer to keep me occupied.

Such a loss...

Battlebot teams in attendance: Sawblaze, Overhaul, Huge, Uppercut, Bloodsport, Ribbot & Valkyrie.

MASSDestruction almost ready to get underway.

Getting ready for my second ever competition tomorrow at MassDestruction in Boston. Going with both Botkits bots. OCD-2 for beetle & Manic Depression for ant. Should be a lot of fun, fully expecting to get my ass handed to me, but it should be a great experience.

Also completed my dry box for filament storage. Getting some desiccant in today & have a couple of vented boxes printed up for that.

Been having a blast with the new 3D printer. A bit of a learning curve as I’ve never done any 3D printing before, but I’m getting the hang of it.

I’ve had the 3D printer cranking all day today printing parts for a diy drybox for storing my filament.

So I guess third time really is the charm. The first print didn’t really adhere do well so I cancelled it. The second one ran overnight & looks like it got dislodged as well. The third print looks to have adhered very well & printed very nicely. This morning I printed up the wedge claws. Looking forward to getting the rest of the parts in to put this all together!

Success! Far from flawless, but really happy with the results. Going to try to print the wedges today.

Got my first 3D printer this week & tonight I’m attempting my first print of a plastic ant. Have to wait until morning to see how it came out. Cautiously optimistic...

Just finished my Botkits Candy Wasp kit. Looking forward to getting the opportunity to try it out.
