Join us December 3rd for our annual fundraiser so we can continue to provide pro bono legal help to Massachusetts families suffering from financial hardships!

Our clients overcome significant financial and emotional hardships. With our help they are able to start over and work towards achieving their financial goals. Here is one success story:
Mom of four children, ages 7 months to 10 years old. She lost her job in 2023 and has been relying on transitional assistance to cover her necessities. Her partner recently moved in with her, and with his employment her state financial assistance has decreased. Prior to filing she was behind in her rent and received RAFT assistance to catch up. With her limited income she was unable to keep up with her creditor payments and several items were in collection when her case was filed. The discharge will allow her to put the debt behind her and work towards improving her financial health for herself and her children.

Interested in becoming a client with MDRF? We represent qualifying Massachusetts residents who need legal help with consumer debt. Our assistance is always completely free.

To qualify your household net income must be at or below 150% of the HHS Poverty Line, or for veterans and servicemembers at or below 200%.
