Empathy is a critical skill for patient advocates. It allows us to listen to patients, believe them, and see their experiences from their perspective.
This means putting aside our assumptions and biases and opening ourselves up to the patient's reality. It means listening without judgment and believing them when they tell us what they're going through. Empathy is essential for building trust and rapport with patients. It allows us to understand their needs and advocate for them more effectively.

At the Patient Advocacy Summit next Thursday (November 9), we will explore becoming better patient advocates and building stronger relationships with patients, industry partners, and policymakers.
