Reunion 2026 may be in the past, but everything it stood for — reflecting on how far we've come, reconnecting with the people who shaped us, and reigniting the pride of being Simmons — stays with us. Whether you joined us on campus or tuned in virtually, your participation this weekend made all the difference. Thank you!
The celebration continues on Simmons Network — and there's more on the way. If you haven't joined yet, now is the perfect time to:
-Watch Reunion Program Recordings — Coming soon! Relive your favorite sessions or catch one you missed, including the President's State of the University address, the Alumnae/i Association Annual Meeting, three continuous learning sessions, and three affinity programs.
-Browse Reunion Photographs — The full professional gallery will be available shortly — download your favorites and share your own photos from the weekend. (Tag Simmons University Alumnae/i if you share them on social media!)
-Stay Connected — The Reunion 2026 Group is open now. Keep the conversations going with classmates — your ties to this community are lifelong, and this is a great place to nurture them. Share new memories made and updates you learned with your Simmons friends who didn't attend.

Summer offers us a chance to recharge, explore new ideas, and engage with meaningful stories that challenge and inspire us. This year, I am especially excited to share a reading list that celebrates the creativity, insight, and impact of members of the Simmons community and beyond.
These authors include Simmons alumnae, trustees, and bestselling authors whose work reflects the values we care deeply about at Simmons: courage, curiosity, and the power of storytelling to help us better understand ourselves and the world around us.
I am especially looking forward to welcoming Simmons alumna and Honorary Trustee Jane Buyers back to campus during Reunion Weekend for a conversation about her memoir, Eight Septembers: A Woman on Wall Street From 9/11 to Lehman. Her story—and the reflections it inspires about leadership, resilience, and purpose—makes it a fitting place to begin this summer’s reading list.
This list is only a small sampling of the remarkable work being created by Simmons community members and friends, and I hope you’ll add one—or several—to your own summer reading plans.
- Eight Septembers: A Woman on Wall Street From 9/11 to Lehman by Jane Buyers ‘81, published by DartFrog Books
- Wicked by Gregory Maguire ‘78MA, published by ReganBooks.
- We the Women: The Hidden Heroes Who Shaped America by Norah O’Donnell with Kate Brower, published by Ballantine Books
- Turn the Tide by Elaine Dimopoulos ‘08MFA, published by Clarion Books
- Mr. Chow’s Night Market by Emily Sun Li ‘24MA/MFA, Published by Penguin Workshop
