We are dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and/or abused dogs from high-kill shelters throughout the United States. LHK9 doesn't discriminate on the basis of age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed. Because every animal deserves to know love! Since LHK9’s establishment in March of 2012, we have saved the lives of over 10,000 dogs and we could not do this work without amazing people like you! Meet Sporty! 🐾 MEET HIM AT OUR 9/19 ADOPTION EVENT IN DORCHESTER!
The most loyal, kind companion you could ever dream of! While he’s always game for an adventure or a long walk, this handsome boy is a gentle, mid-energy soul who is just as happy to kick back and enjoy a quiet evening by your side.
Sporty is a sweet soul who gets along with everyone he meets! He is rockstar with kids (patiently welcoming all their hugs and kisses), completely ignores cats, and absolutely LOVES other dogs. He reads canine cues well and would be thrilled to have a dog sibling to look up to as he gains confidence. Though he had a tough start to life and can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, it only takes a few minutes of patience for his affectionate, devoted personality to shine through.
This smart pup is house-trained and making wonderful progress with crate training, he sleeps in his crate overnight and even chooses to hang out in it on his own during the day!

Meet Phoebe! 🐾 MEET HER AT OUR 9/19 ADOPTION EVENT IN DORCHESTER!
This precious girl is the ultimate sweetheart who brings a wonderful balance of fun energy and cozy relaxation wherever she goes.
Phoebe loves playing with toys and making new canine pals, but she is equally happy to settle in and snooze the day away in a soft bed.
Phoebe is an absolute dream housemate…she is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and a complete pro on the leash! She does wonderfully with other dogs and is great with dog-savvy kids (ages 5 and up). Since she tends to bark when she spots cats, she will do best in a cat-free home.
While she can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, all it takes is a little patience and a gentle belly rub to win her over! Once she feels secure, her sweet, affectionate personality shines through, making her such a loyal, joyful companion.

This sweet, goofy boy may take a little time to feel safe, but once he does, his personality starts to shine. He loves wrestling and running around with his foster siblings, playing with toys, exploring the yard, and winding down on the couch with his people. He’s also crate trained, house trained, walks nicely on leash, and even lived happily with a cat in his southern foster home. 🐶🐱
