Cell BioEngines, Inc moves to Manhattan, New York, to leverage the city’s focus and strategic investment in biotech
Dr. Ajay Vishwakarma, a Harvard-MIT trained scientist and founder, CEO of Cell BioEngines, Inc dedicated to developing ‘off-the-shelf’ cell therapies to cure cancer shares how he founded the company based on his own PhD research with Stephen Chambers, General Partner at SOSV and MD IndieBio NY.
He took his idea from academic research while working on single cell next-generation RNA sequencing to discover unique functional subsets of immune cell types. Dr. Ajay then scouted for intellectual proprieties (IPs)to manufacture multiple highly potent, rare cells states from third party stem cells and partnered with Mount Sinai, Icahn School of Medicine/Tisch Cancer Center.
