"The Chinese symbol for crisis is composed of two elements: one signifies danger and the other opportunity." This quote, around since the 1930's has stood the test of time because it is true. It has been interesting to watch the events in the banking industry this past week through the lens of Marketing. Many banks immediately used email campaigns and other forms of digital media to quickly assure their customers and non-customers (possible future customers?) alike that their institutions were sound. A tip of the cap to their marketing teams who took the opportunity to "Make lemonade out of lemons".
