HOTL 2025

That’s a wrap on fall season! All crews had a blast racing through the Montlake Cut today despite the chop! Special shoutouts to the U17 Women’s 2x and the U19 Women’s 4x for 3rd place finishes!

And thanks to alum Joshua Kyles for the awesome photos!

It was a gorgeous fall weekend at

Our girls quad (average age only 17!) placed 21st in their event out of a field of 51 boats, winning an entry for HOCR 2026 too! So proud of the hard work these athletes put in and the strong race they put up!

Snapshots of a successful summer at VIRC! Our youth summer camps saw 51 new athletes walk through the boathouse doors and our intensive summer sessions gave experienced rowers the chance to hone their skills!

And the fun continues! Fall season registration is open and our coaches can’t wait to meet all the new and familiar faces starting Sept 2!!

Last weekend, our U19 quads got to race through the cut for Opening Day! Both crews placed 3rd, and had personal best times for the year.

Looking forward to NW regionals!

Another memorable Brentwood in the books! Thank you to , the referees, and all the people on campus that make this event special for your guests every year.

The team demonstrated some serious speed on the race course and even better teamwork off the water to make this regatta one to remember.

Looking forward to taking this momentum into regionals!

Fun, Fitness and Forever Friends

VIRC is a community supported non-profit rowing club serving rowers from age 13 + with year round Junior and Master programs, camps, learn to row and our Indoor Training Facility. VIRC shell house is located at Jensen Point on the Burton Peninsula of Vashon Island. We practice in saltwater on Quartermaster Harbor. We are fortunate the Harbor has areas of protected water that allows us to row most days if our 2K course is too windy. All are welcome, no experience required. Fun, Fitness and Friendship!
