GrubStreet is the place where writers develop their craft – and themselves – through the power of writing and sharing their work. Friday night parties.

We offer hundreds of creative writing programs and events for writers from all backgrounds aged 13 to 113. GrubStreet was founded in 1997 by Eve Bridburg, who envisioned an arts center that welcomed writers of all genres and ambitions, and which cultivated a rigorous but supportive atmosphere that never involved tears or humiliation. Writing is about inspiration, but is also about craft, hard work
