As a destination makeup artist, sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that this is my job.
To travel to beautiful places.
To work alongside incredibly talented creatives.
To help someone feel like the most elevated version of themselves on one of the most important days of their life.
Yesterday, that looked like standing on a cliff in Oregon as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean, watching two people completely lost in the moment.
A reminder that when you stay true to your path, your passion can take you places you never imagined.

What a milestone.
To some, this may not seem like a huge number, but for me, it represents years of showing up, growing, learning, serving clients, building relationships, educating others, and creating a community rooted in beauty, confidence, mindset, and authenticity.
I’ve never been the creator chasing viral moments or overnight growth. My business has been built one client, one bride, one lesson, one conversation, and one relationship at a time.
That’s why this milestone means so much to me.
These 25,000 followers represent real people. Clients, fellow artists, friends, supporters, and members of a community built through trust, connection, consistency, and genuinely caring about the work I put into the world.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s this:
Never underestimate the impact of your support.
A like. A comment. A share. A referral. A kind message.
They matter more than you know.
Sometimes we look at people and assume they’re doing better than us, that they have it all figured out, or that they don’t need encouragement and support.
But the truth is, they do.

May was my most successful makeup month ever.
It was also met with some significant challenges in both my business and personal life.
What I’ve learned over the years is that every new level in business requires a new level of growth, resilience, and self-leadership.
The biggest lesson?
Success and struggle can exist at the same time.
Social media strategy, marketing, pricing, systems, and education all matter. But none of them can outperform the mindset behind them.
The most successful makeup month of my career wasn’t built in May.
It was built through years of showing up, learning, evolving, and refusing to quit when things got hard.
If you’re waiting for the perfect time to take the next step in your beauty business, this is your reminder:
There will never be a perfect time.

May was beautiful.
May was heartbreaking.
Somehow, both can be true at once.
There were moments, milestones, and clients I wanted to hold onto forever, and moments I never wanted to experience at all.
But life and business don’t stop asking us to move forward.
So I will.
Not because everything is okay.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because when I learned to shift my mindset around my business, my life, and my heartbreaks, I learned that strength isn’t found in avoiding hard things.
It’s found in continuing anyway.
Social media often highlights the polished moments, but real life happens in the messy, unexpected, and imperfect ones too.
And maybe that’s what makes us human.
What makes us connected.
What grace in motion really looks like.
Here’s to a new month ahead. 🥂

What they don’t always see is everything happening behind the scenes to create it.
So while people online debate what makeup artists “should” charge for their services, I’m over here creating luxury, calm, elevated experiences for my clients who understand the value in that.
Because it’s never just about the makeup application.
It’s managing timelines, calming nerves, adjusting to lighting, understanding photography, skin prep, long wear techniques, energy in the room, attention to detail, sanitation, and years of education.
It’s the emails, admin hours, 9 PM texts, 6 AM phone calls, waking up before the sun rises, giving up weekends, holidays, and special events to make sure every client feels taken care of from beginning to end.
