Twenty-seven years ago tonight Melanie went missing. The family has never given up hope, not that she will be found alive, but that she may have a final dignified resting place. Twenty-seven years. It's a long time. She would have been 42 soon. That's about the same age, give or take a couple of years, as her friends would be now and the persons who attended that last "party" would be. Perhaps those people are now mothers and fathers, maybe aunts and uncles, perhaps a grandparent. What if this was your child, your relative? How long does it take a conscience to open up? How long can you keep what happened to Mel to yourself. How long can you watch a family endure such pain? How long? After multiple searches, forensic digs, new stories and family interviews you still are keeping the story to yourself. Cops Still Seek Leads In Cold Case Of Teen Who Vanished From A Party 26 Years Ago - CrimeFeed Melanie Melanson was only days away from turning 15 when she vanished without a trace. Although that was more than 25 years ago, investigators are still collecting leads and trying to find answers for her family, who say they have little hope she's still alive.
