9/11 is still very much a somber and sacred day imo. I always wanted to be a firefighter since I was a little kid. Took the exam with near perfect scores multiple times. Never quite made it high enough on the list largely due to veteran preference. Which I am totally fine with. I went to UNH in ‘99. I opted to not accept an ROTC scholarship, also to UNH, bc I felt that I was only doing it for the money and that is no reason to be in the military. My dad was pi**ed. As it turns out, I most certainly would have joined countless men and women of my generation that went to an ugly war. They returned home with a combination of physical and mental scars, if they returned at all. While it will always weigh on a small part of me for the rest of my life that I never served my country, I’m lucky and grateful. To give up a spot in the firehouse for one of those men and women that took my place in battle is a small price to pay. On 9/11 each year I take some time to listen to the FDNY dispatch tapes. It’s a small way that I can honor those firefighters. I’d like to think I would’ve been brave enough to run into those buildings, but they actually did and paid the ultimate price. This isn’t meant to be self serving, or illicit compliments, and its certainly no place for politics or bu****it conspiracy theories- it’s just how I choose to remember the day.

To say today was a relief would be a massive understatement. Our church project is finally going to market. Plenty of red tape, and other delays here, but it’s time. Big thanks to our crew who absolutely smashed today, and and .boston.real.estate from and . Two luxury condos under the roof of an old church I. Marblehead, MA with tons of original details preserved. Let’s get this thing sold and onto the next one. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

We have been using for a couple of years. As I’m starting to reorganize and retool the management side of my business, every time I’m looking for an app for a specific task, everything I come across points back to Monday, which is nice when you solve a problem with something you’re already paying for. I was looking for an app to start doing a true cloud based inventory system for tools and stock across our jobsites and millwork shop that is easy to use/accessible to all employees at a low cost. Low and behold many contractors on Reddit used templates already available on Monday and customized them for that. I’ve tried other CRMs- some clunky and not user friendly, some meant for larger businesses that we don’t need the majority of the features. Monday seems to be the easiest for the user, with reasonable pricing and a high level of customizablity. What are other contractors using Monday for besides scheduling?

We wanted some kind of mudroom area but didn’t want to block the top of these nice wide stairs. Priest came up w this solution in our shop. We also needed to hide a plumbing chase. I think he nailed it🤙🏻

Was showing this to a client today for some inspiration for the shower shelf wall instead of a niche. This is one of my favorite bathrooms we’ve done. Custom walnut vanity was built in our shop to match one from West Elm that we were given a picture of.

Sneak peek at a laundry room we renovated in Marblehead. This is part of a larger second floor addition. This was a breezeway between the house and garage that was previously carpeted and just a portly used space. Our shop make all millwork and cabinetry. Floor is heated beneath the tile. This has become a standard for us in mudrooms as a way to make sure the floor stays dry in the winter months.
