Dot Day Parade is TOMORROW… and Boston Little Saigon is stepping OUT ✨

👀 Here’s a tiny sneak peek of what we’ve been cooking up for the parade -our bamboo garden float inspired by Tre Già, Măng Mọc, features three generations of a Vietnamese family watering and growing bamboo together, a direct reflection of how elders plant roots so younger generations can continue growing forward.

Come cheer us on, scream our names dramatically from the sidewalks, and celebrate Dorchester with us. See you all tomorrow on the streets of Dorchester Ave! 🫶

👀 Đây là một sneak peek nho nhỏ về những gì tụi tôi đã âm thầm chuẩn bị cho đoàn diễn hành — chiếc xe hoa vườn tre lấy cảm hứng từ Tre Già, Măng Mọc, với hình ảnh ba thế hệ trong một gia đình Việt cùng nhau tưới và chăm tre lớn lên. Một hình ảnh phản chiếu trực tiếp cho ý niệm rằng thế hệ đi trước gieo rễ để thế hệ sau tiếp tục vươn mình đi tới.

Mai nhớ ra cổ vũ nha, cứ mạnh dạn la lớn tên Boston Little Saigon. Cùng BLSG ăn mừng Dorchester và hẹn gặp mọi người ngày mai trên đường Dorchester Ave nha 🫶

🏓 Our first-ever Boston Little Saigon Community Pickleball Tournament & Fundraiser really turned the Dot Tire parking lot into a whole community block party with pickleball chaos with everyone sideline coaching, competitive screaming while sweating and eating bánh bột lọc and gỏi gà. And somehow 15 people still asking “wait… who’s winning right now?”🤣

This event was about acknowledging the very real health disparities, stress, trauma, and survival burdens many Vietnamese families still carry every day — while also reminding ourselves that our community still continues to choose joy, movement, laughter, and showing up for one another. 💚

Deepest gratitude to our seven teams, vendors, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and community who showed up with so much energy and love. And whewwww 😭 huge love to everyone behind the scenes because running a pickleball tournament is basically organized chaos with clipboards. 💥

🏓 Giải Pickleball Cộng Đồng & Gây Quỹ đầu tiên của Boston Little Saigon thật sự đã biến nguyên bãi đậu xe DOT TIRE thành một block party cộng đồng đúng nghĩa. Nào là pickleball hỗn loạn, ai cũng đứng ngoài sân làm huấn luyện viên, la hét tính điểm trong lúc vừa đổ mồ hôi vừa ăn bánh bột lọc với gỏi gà. Mà cuối cùng vẫn có khoảng 15 người hỏi: “Ủa rồi giờ ai đang thắng vậy?” 🤣

Sự kiện này là dịp để cộng đồng mình cùng nhìn nhận những áp lực, chấn thương, và bất bình đẳng sức khỏe mà nhiều gia đình người Việt vẫn đang âm thầm mang theo mỗi ngày, nhưng đồng thời cũng nhắc nhau rằng cộng đồng mình vẫn luôn chọn niềm vui, sự vận động, tiếng cười, và cùng có mặt cho nhau. 💚

BLSG thật lòng biết ơn 7 đội chơi, các gian hàng, tình nguyện viên, nhân viên, nhà tài trợ, và cả cộng đồng đã đem tới quá nhiều năng lượng và tình thương cho chương trình này. Và thiệt tình nha… phía sau một giải pickleball cộng đồng là nguyên một đội vừa chạy chương trình, vừa tính điểm, vừa đổ mồ hôi không thua gì người đang đánh 😭💥

🌟 NOW RECRUITING: Summer Youth Internship Program 2026 🌟

Boston Little Saigon is excited to offer a paid summer internship opportunity for immigrant youth! This program focuses on leadership development, career readiness, and community engagement while giving youth the chance to build new skills, strengthen connections, and explore culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, and future career pathways. 💼✨

💵 Stipend: $15/hour

📌 Eligibility:
• Immigrant youth ages 14–24
• Boston residents (limited spots for non-residents)
• Currently enrolled in high school, college, GED/HiSET, or alternative education program
• Must attend mandatory orientation on June 30, 2026
• Available June 30 – August 31, 2026

🕐 Tentative Schedule:
Tuesdays–Thursdays | 1 PM – 5 PM with occasional weekends
