I reached 61K miles of literally as I parked at a student’s house. I’m so tired for so many reasons. But I also feel more like myself than I have in a long time. I’m being more honest in a way that’s getting me the support I need, and the community I’ve so carefully cultivated is getting better at riding all our various waves together as we all commit to learning and growing and shifting for the long haul. I’m exhausted. But I know who I am and who my people are. And I couldn’t be more grateful.

I reached 59K of on my way to to sing with on Wednesday. The highlight of the night was definitely the rowdy kids who LAID DOWN ON THE CONCRETE IN A WILD WIND CHILL for silent night. The highlight of my trip home was reading a LOT of Dad’s daily logs. Boy howdy, do I miss that guy.

Thanks for birthday kindness and love. The most perfectly goofy and precious of birthday gifts have made me feel seen and embraced, including a podium designed and printed by my honey. Forky has, in fact, been here the whole time.
I will end my first 35 years living SO fully into myself. I am a self-realized q***r, bisexual, nonbinary autistic who is out here to help heal the world through my performance of music, theater, and the written word.
I love to be me today and I’m beyond words for what community support means to me.
So much love. 💜💜💜

Dr. Aubert said she was waitin’ for a real baddie to give this black bedazzled bow to, and Willow displayed much braverism during a tricky blood draw. And Dog of the Day on GOTCHA DAY? Wow. 🌺🖤
Shout out to Willow is obsessed with you.

I reached 56K of late on Sept 7 on the parkway on my way home from PA from the QUICKEST little trip! I got to my mom’s at about 2:30am having come straight from playing a show, and sang at Edgeboro Moravian in the morning for the installation of my GOOD FRIEND JODIE as the pastor at the church I grew up in? Color me emo. 🖍️ Who else was coloring that morning? All the neurodivergent Millennials in the front pew (and ).
It’s wild how community can grow and expand and shift, and I’ve experienced a lot of heartbreak when it falls apart. Being able to settle so easily back into one you know is something I don’t have words for right now, but it’s incredible. I got to do that at church and then in my mom’s yard. I need my wide open spaces (who isn’t on a Chicks kick right now don’t lie), but I’m beyond grateful to love and feel safe in the neighborhood I grew up in.
Thank you, , for folding my ministry into yours, to for taking a chance and SLAYING SOME ANNIE LENNOX, and to everyone else for showing up to support and hang with one or both of us.

Thrilled to be a NESR Scholarshipper this past weekend. I wanted to bring it all home for , but had to head back to Missouri (sigh).
The good news is, and I are gonna tear it up tomorrow, Saturday September 6, along with .foote, whose craft is just as killer as Jack’s (and that’s saying something). Get ready for some songs to knock your socks off.

I'm VERY EXCITED to be one of the scholarship winners for the New England Songwriters Retreat (NESR), hosted by the legendary Ellis Paul and kept afloat with the help of the incredible Laurie MacAllister!!!
If you've been with me for a while, you might know that NESR was the first investment I made in my career when I quit slinging sandwiches to sling more songs.
I've been going back ever since. For the craft, for the community, for the freedom to be myself for a weekend and have everyone around me kinda get it. So it especially warms my heart to be part of the celebrated scholarshippers. 🩵
Click through to the IG post for some fun. The only explanation I have for having so little photo and video is that I'm so IN it every time. But this is... pretty representative. 😜
