I’ve always struggled with my big emotions. I judged them because they scared me. The greatest relief is alchemizing them into music.

And then releasing my music gets me into big emotions and I have a tendency to freeze. But frozen in motion. Always in motion …

I’m facing my resistance head on and feeling all the little clenches that come from facing fears.

Not a fear of judgment , but a fear of painful patterns repeating themselves. The pain of doing everything by yourself in an industry that is always changing. Of navigating a capricious algorithm and marketing games. The confusion of having no idea where you fit and how to reach people.

Or what my fu***ng sub genres are and what “famous people do I sound like?”.

I’m working on a new lens and a new attitude, but for now this is my truth and maybe someone feels the same way and this makes you feel a little less alone.

Singing at the Berklee Performance Center really sets the bar high for me 🎙️

Grateful for this community and these opportunities to connect to so many beautiful singers around the world 🌎

I have officially begun the journey of “The Artist’s Way” workbook to reignite my creative spark.

After months of it sitting on my bedside and saying “I’ll get to it soon”, I have finally taken the plunge into excavating my writers blocks.

I have put it off for years because this work is UNCOMFORTABLE 🥲

But even by page 10 I feel so seen and validated. Knowing you’re not alone in the contestant ebb and flow and highs and lows of creative pursuits.

I’m committed to freeing myself from that weight and connecting to the muse again. The muse never leaves us , we just put up barriers based on these stories we create in our minds.
