Community Initiative - Mass Cultural Council

The Communities Team had a great time attending Townsend Art in Action, an event hosted by the Townsend Cultural Council celebrating local artists and craftspeople!

More than 10 artists participated, demonstrating, exhibiting, and selling their work across a range of creative practices, including painting, fiber and paper weaving, spinning, drawing, felting, and woodworking.

The Communities Team had a great time joining the Newbury Cultural Council for the fourth annual Newbury Town Day! The event has continued to grow, with this year bringing together even more visitors, vendors, performers, artists, and community organizations.

Hosted by the Newbury MA Cultural Council in partnership with the Newbury Recreation Committee, Town Day brought the community together for an afternoon of local music, art, food, and family fun at Central Street Fields.

The Communities Team had a great time joining the Winchendon Cultural Council for their Meet & Greet! The LCC partnered with the Town’s History & Cultural Center to bring past grantees, LCC members, prospective applicants, and community members together to connect and learn more about the upcoming FY27 grant cycle.

Congratulations to The Revere Cultural Council on hosting its first grant reception! The Communities Team had a great time joining the celebration and recognizing the artists, organizations, and community members contributing to arts and culture in Revere.

The council partnered with a local Colombian bakery, Chocolaffee, to host the event, bringing the community together to celebrate local grant recipients. Mayor Patrick Keefe Jr. and Steve Morabito, the City’s Director of Engagement, Inclusion & Culture, also shared remarks.

Calling all prospective Local & Tribal Cultural Council grant applicants!

Applications for the FY27 Local & Tribal Cultural Council grant programs are now open, and we’re hosting an LCC & TCC Grants Info Session tomorrow, Thursday, September 10 at 6pm.

This webinar will walk potential applicants through the application process and is recommended for prospective grant applicants, LCC members, and TCC members.

Pelham Lifelong Learning Center’s Pelham Community Impact Fund is dedicated to sustaining and amplifying local organizations working with residents living in the Pelham community and surrounding neighborhoods in SE Framingham.

Congratulations to the Maynard Cultural Council on a successful grant reception! The Communities Team had a great time celebrating the many people who support and contribute to Maynard’s arts and cultural community.

Two Maynard Cultural Council members were presented with Official Citations during the reception, one from Rep Kate Hogan and another from Senator Jamie Eldridge. The evening also included the presentation of the Erik Hansen Award to a community member.
