That’s a wrap on an amazing summer with MSYEP | Youth Employment Center | Next Up Program! 🎬

This summer, Cambridge youth joined us at The Loop Lab for hands-on learning in creative media and production. From working with equipment to learning new production skills, students had the chance to learn by doing, get creative, and explore what a future in the creative technology industry could look like.

We’re proud of everything they learned, created, and accomplished this summer. Here’s to the next generation of creators! 👏🏽

A huge thank you to Paris Alston of GBH News’ Rooted for hosting such a special evening and helping us celebrate this incredible milestone with our apprentices, families, partners, and community.

We also shared some exciting news at graduation: The Loop Lab is partnering with Roxbury Community College Roxbury Community College to launch new pathways through FORGE, creating even more opportunities for young people to build skills and careers in the creative workforce.

And we’re not slowing down. New cohorts kick off next week, bringing a new group of apprentices, new ideas, and a whole new chapter to look forward to.

Celebrating how far we’ve come and getting excited for what’s next. 🚀

🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨 The Loop Lab is once again a Registered Apprenticeship Program in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts!

But what does that actually mean?

Registered Apprenticeship is a proven workforce model that combines paid, hands on experience, industry-aligned training, mentorship, and career development within a program that meets standards recognized by the Commonwealth.

For our apprentices, this means stronger pathways to build skills, gain real-world experience, and prepare for careers.

For employers, it means new opportunities to connect with emerging talent and help shape the workforce of tomorrow.

And for our communities, it means investing in accessible pathways to meaningful careers.

This isn't just a designation. It's a milestone and a launchpad for what's next.

We're proud to be back. And we're just getting started. 🚀

The Loop Lab alumni community came together last week for an evening of connection, conversation, and inspiration.

It was great to see alumni from multiple cohorts reconnect, share experiences, and continue building the creative community that makes The Loop Lab so special. We also had the opportunity to hear from CEO Chris Hope, Donald Wright, M.B.A., Interim Chief of the City of Boston’s Economic Opportunity & Inclusion Cabinet, and Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui, whose insights on leadership, opportunity, and investing in Boston’s creative talent made for an impactful discussion.

Always grateful to be part of a community that’s committed to opening doors, creating opportunities, and uplifting the next generation of storytellers and creatives.

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at From Chains to Change, an interactive storytelling project that brings Boston’s Black history to life through immersive videos along the Black Heritage Trail.

Developed in collaboration with , , and , this project connects visitors to the people, places, and stories that have shaped Boston through powerful, location-based storytelling.

We're grateful to have partnered with throughout production, while The Loop Lab apprentices had the opportunity to support interviews, filming, and other aspects of the creative process. One of our apprentices was also featured in an on-camera conversation, adding a new generation's perspective to this important work.

These behind-the-scenes moments are just the beginning, and we can't wait to share more as From Chains to Change continues to come to life.

The Loop Lab to connected with industry leaders at and got to experience the impact of community-based workforce development in the AV industry.

A highlight of the week was seeing our Founder, , present Community-Based Models That Work in Pro AV and participate in a panel discussion on the Vision Stage, sharing how partnerships, training, and apprenticeship pathways can help expand access to careers in creative technology.
