What an honor to celebrate Pride at Boston City Hall with over 30 amazing local organizations! π³οΈβπ
The event included a community circle, City Council recognition as well as a reception and luncheon (plus, the friendship bracelets and crafts were a massive hit!). Huge thank you to Henry Santana For City Councilor At Large and his team for putting together such a beautiful event and for your continuous advocacy for our LGBTQIA+ neighbors. π

The sun showed out for the Boston Pride for the People Parade! βοΈπ³οΈβπ
Breaktime was proud to walk with staff, Associates, and over 300 organizations to create and celebrate spaces where everyone belongs. It was an honor to march alongside community leaders like U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, who came out to show their support! Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who put such a fabulous day together!
π₯ Come along with Junior for a quick tour of The Loop Lab, one of our amazing Liftoff placements!
Junior was placed at Loop Lab for three months of paid job training learning media arts. He spends his day brainstorming and editing audio/visual projects, while hearing directly from professionals in the field. The opportunity to work on audio, photography, and video initiatives with total creative freedom allows Junior to constantly grow his skills.
We are proud and grateful to partner with Loop Lab and empower young adults to explore their passions, build technical skills, and unlock their creativity. π
Happy Pride Month from Breaktime! π³οΈβπ
Pride Month is a celebration, but itβs also a call to action. LGBTQIA+ youth experience homelessness at disproportionately higher rates than their peers. At Breaktime, we are working every day to dismantle stereotypes and build safe, inclusive spaces for young adults. Together, we can create a future where no young person has to choose between being their authentic self and having a safe place to sleep.

Spend a day with us at Breaktimeβs Resource Hub! π
Every day, our team and incredible volunteers are working hard to ensure housing insecure young people have access to essential resources. The non-stop cleaning and restocking is a collaborative effort, and we are grateful to our volunteer groups for helping lighten the load and support young adults every single day.

For our latest quarterly staff social, the Breaktime team traded our desks for yoga mats! We spent some time stretching, strengthening, and sweating during a Pilates class led by our very own talented teammate, Alexzandra Baldeo!
Taking the time to encourage movement, prioritize wellness, and share a few laughs outside of our daily tasks keeps us connected and energized for the work we do. Huge shoutout to Alexzandra for pushing us through an amazing workout! π
