π₯ Come along with Junior for a quick tour of The Loop Lab, one of our amazing Liftoff placements!
Junior was placed at Loop Lab for three months of paid job training learning media arts. He spends his day brainstorming and editing audio/visual projects, while hearing directly from professionals in the field. The opportunity to work on audio, photography, and video initiatives with total creative freedom allows Junior to constantly grow his skills.
We are proud and grateful to partner with Loop Lab and empower young adults to explore their passions, build technical skills, and unlock their creativity. π
Happy Pride Month from Breaktime! π³οΈβπ
Pride Month is a celebration, but itβs also a call to action. LGBTQIA+ youth experience homelessness at disproportionately higher rates than their peers. At Breaktime, we are working every day to dismantle stereotypes and build safe, inclusive spaces for young adults. Together, we can create a future where no young person has to choose between being their authentic self and having a safe place to sleep.

Spend a day with us at Breaktimeβs Resource Hub! π
Every day, our team and incredible volunteers are working hard to ensure housing insecure young people have access to essential resources. The non-stop cleaning and restocking is a collaborative effort, and we are grateful to our volunteer groups for helping lighten the load and support young adults every single day.

For our latest quarterly staff social, the Breaktime team traded our desks for yoga mats! We spent some time stretching, strengthening, and sweating during a Pilates class led by our very own talented teammate, Alexzandra Baldeo!
Taking the time to encourage movement, prioritize wellness, and share a few laughs outside of our daily tasks keeps us connected and energized for the work we do. Huge shoutout to Alexzandra for pushing us through an amazing workout! π
Have you wondered what itβs like to work at the Museum of African American History?
We sat down with Evan Hines, COO of the Museum of African American History - Boston and Nantucket to discuss our partnership. Currently, two Breaktime Associates are gaining invaluable professional experience at the museum, handling visitor relations, retail operations, and more.
We are proud to partner with institutions that believe in providing a livable wage and a supportive work environment for young adults. π

Congrats to our most recent cohort of Associates for completing Launchpad! β¨
For the past three weeks, these incredible Associates have been diving into the 6 Essentials of Success (6ES), mastering critical skills like punctuality, engagement, and communication. Now, they are officially stepping into the workforce for three months of transitional employment!
We are so proud of their hard work and canβt wait to see them put these essentials into practice. Join us in celebrating their achievements and wishing them luck in this next chapter! π
National Volunteer Appreciation Month is behind us, but the energy at Breaktime hasn't slowed down!
Huge shoutout to our recurring volunteer groups, including the incredible students and staff from Bunker Hill Community College. Whether itβs restocking the Resource Hub or keeping things organized, our volunteer community helps us turn a daunting task into a seamless operation. This means we can scale our impact and ensure we are getting essential resources to young adults experiencing housing insecurity faster than ever. Thank you for helping us bridge the gap! π

Mental health is a housing issue. At Breaktime, we see how the stressors of instability, prejudice, and systemic barriers take a toll on the mental well-being of young adults.
This , weβre committed to reducing stigma and helping people have more good days by meeting them where they are.
