At Simmons, we develop student-athletes into champions and changemakers prepared for life’s work.

At Simmons, women athletes are the top - and only - priority in the varsity sports program. Unlike coeducational institutions where women's teams often take a back seat to the men's programs, Simmons gives its "Sharks" the best practice times, outstanding equipment and facilities, funding, and the undivided support of nearly 1,900 students who cheer on the athletes and encourage them to succeed in a spirited environment.

A thoughtful discussion on the growth of professional women’s sports and the expanding opportunities for women across the industry. Thank you to Professor Justine Pouravelis, Dean Sheil, Director of Athletics Erica Schuling, and student-athlete Lauren Krupnikoff for sharing their perspectives during Reunion on Saturday. It was great to connect with Simmons alumnae/i and members of the Simmons community while celebrating the continued impact of women in sports and the ways Simmons continues to lead the conversation through innovative programs and opportunities in the field.
