“I have always had an interest in analyzing how everyday things operate, trying to figure out why things are built the way they are. In architecture, the subtlety of how form and function impact our daily living is incredibly interesting - everything from the procession of spaces in a structure to create a specific experience, to the details of a work triangle in a residential kitchen. Architecture is constantly evolving, with the pros and cons of certain design concepts debated. These continuing advancements motivate me to look for inspiration in everyday objects, fueling my desire to create better buildings.”
