We want to thank everyone we helped to support the Tierney Fun Run, an opportunity for the community to come together and encourage all our youth to keep going even when you feel like giving up! This day is also an opportunity to meet those who are exemplifying that and are running for the Tierney Learning Center in the Boston Marathon.

Here are a few highlights from last week's February Vacation at the Tierney Learning Center!

Last week, as we prepared for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our after-school activity focused on learning about his incredible legacy of equality, justice, and service. We Let's continue to honor Dr. King's vision through our actions! ✊🏾

🎄 A huge thank you to WS Development for their incredible generosity in providing the Tierney Center with beautiful Christmas trees this holiday season! Your kindness is truly appreciated and helps bring the festive spirit to all. A special shoutout to State Representative David Biele, whose efforts made this possible—thank you for being such an important part of this amazing gift! Wishing everyone a joyful and warm holiday season! 🎅✨

Thank you to the whole crew at Teamsters Boston for bringing joy to the kids we serve in our community. Your help goes a long way!

As our summer learning program at Tierney comes to a close, we're filled with mixed emotions. From the thrilling day trips to Spectacle Island and Canobie Lake Park to the incredible enrichment activities, this season has been truly memorable. A heartfelt thank you to all the organizations that partnered with us and hosted our youth, making this summer an unforgettable journey. While we're sad to say goodbye, we’re grateful for the amazing experiences shared and the memories made. Until next summer!

🎣🚤 Our Tierney Center older kids had an incredible adventure at Peddocks Island today! From the thrill of the boat ride to the excitement of fishing, it was a day full of fun and discovery. 🐟🌊

Splash into summer fun with a foam machine! 🌞🧼 Our Green space turned into a frothy wonderland, and the kids couldn’t stop laughing and playing in the bubbles. Here's to endless fun and making memories in the summer sun!

Had an amazing day exploring the Charleston Navy Yard with the Tierney kids! 🚢✨ They got to see some incredible sights, including the legendary USS Constitution. History came to life as we wandered through the exhibits and learned about the amazing ships and stories from our past. So proud of how curious and engaged they were throughout the day! 📚⚓️
