Landed in beautiful Italy today to do more research for my book “Wintering in Rome”.
When I visited a year ago, I knew I wanted to write a book, but I didn’t know what it was going to be about.
After just a couple of short weeks here, it was obvious.
Terrific skiing just two hours away, beautiful beaches 45 minutes away, easy train service to a number of amazing cities, and I haven’t even begun to touch on the magic that is the city of Rome and its simpatico residents.
This region has so much to offer that I had to return to gather more content to make sure I was thorough and didn’t leave any stone unturned.
Oh, the sacrifices we sometimes have to make.
I hope you follow along and are inspired.
Today I’ll leave you with the weather report.
A high of 62° and sunny skies.
For anyone who isn’t a fan of a long, cold, dark winter this obviously checks one of many boxes.
