HAPPY Motherโs Day to all of the incredible moms, aunts, nanas and to all of the women who support our kids!! Missing my mom today but so very grateful to be mom to these two!! Itโs the most difficult job but the best one. ๐๐ธ๐ธ๐
Greetings from the summit of Haleakala in Maui! Wanted to share this spectacular view high above the clouds just before sunset. The volcano last erupted some time between 1480 and 1600. Fun fact-when measured from its base under the sea to its crater at the summit itโs taller than Mt. Everest. Enjoy!! ๐ค๐๐๐ค

Do something kind today as we mark the 13th anniversary of our cityโs darkest day.
Thinking of my friend, Roseann Sdoia, who was seriously injured and remembering Martin Richard, Lingzi Lu, Krystle Campbell, MIT Police Officer Sean Collier and Boston Police Officer Dennis โDJโ Simmonds.

Thinking of Sean and the Gannon family today. Thank you for your service to our community Sean. ๐๐

Itโs been nine years since Firefighter Joe Toscano lost his life after rushing into fire at a home in East Watertown. Iโll never forget that tragic day. Joe was a father of five, loving husband, a great guy and friend who lived his life helping others.
Thank you Joe for your service and sacrifice and thank you to all of our first responders who show up every day to help our communities.
Joeโs oldest son, Patrick, is following in his dadโs footsteps as a Boston Firefighter. Joe is smiling down for sure!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Every breast cancer survivor knows the feeling of waiting for the results after your mammogram. No matter how much time passes, itโs always nerve-wracking. Iโm breathing a bit easier after a clean screening. ๐๐
Iโm sharing this because Iโm one of the fortunate ones. My cancer was discovered during a routine screening, not because I felt a lump, but because I showed up for my annual mammogram appointment.
Early detection was key in my case.
To my network: Please donโt trade your health for a busy schedule. If youโre overdue for a mammogram, please make the call today. If you know someone recently diagnosed or going through treatment, reach out and check in on them.
Deeply grateful to the teams at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mass General Brigham and the Ellie Fund for their care and support of breast cancer patients. ๐๐

Molly Bish was just 16 years old when she disappeared from her lifeguard post in Warren, MA, on June 27, 2000. Her remains were discovered years later in the woods of Palmer but her killer has never been found.
This is a case that has haunted me throughout my career.
It was a privilege to work with the CBS 48 Hours team, the incomparable Erin Moriarty and the Bish family for Saturday nightโs story.
Please tune in tomorrow at 10 PM EST on WBZ / CBS News Boston.
I hope this story provides the critical lead needed for justice for Molly and the Bish family.
If you have any information please contact the State Police Tip Line: (508) 453-7575.

All bundled up in pink for our brisk morning walk today! As we head into the last week of Breast Cancer Awareness Month-a reminder. If youโve been putting off your mammogram please pick up the phone today and make an appointment!
Early detection is key. It saved my life and it just may save yours. AND a special ask-if you know someone going through treatment or with a recent diagnosis please check in with them. We all say, โIโm fine,โ or โIโm doing okayโ when that may not always be the case. ๐๐
Thank you to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mass General Brigham,
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Ellie Fund for your care and support for patients and survivors!
A special shout out to my friend and former colleague, Jake Messier, who is raising awareness about male breast cancer during his own courageous battle. ๐๐
