Originally from Medellin, Colombia is a DJ and musician known for playing house music, filled with latin and jazz influences. During his early life, he was exposed to these native latin sounds including Salsa, Merengue, Tango and the traditional Colombian folk music. DV grew up in a home where music was always appreciated, respected, and enjoyed. At the age of 8, Daniel V started his musical journey by taking piano lessons. After years of honing his talent, he landed a spot as a pianist in a local band where he performed at various events and locations around Medellin. As he adapted to his new life in America, his success as an accomplished pianist eventually led him down a completely different path: he was now destined to become a DJ. As DV began spending countless hours in local record stores, local bars and clubs, and networking with local DJs, his passion for house music quickly transformed into a career. The Palace Nightclub in Saugus was not only one of DV’s first residencies, but it was also the venue that allowed him to truly command a crowd and showcase his skills behind the decks, setting him apart from many other DJs, past and present. Consequently, this experience catapulted his entire career, and he was eventually touring all over the United States playing alongside Bad Boy Bill, DJ Sneak, DJ Dan, David Guetta, among many others. He performed at venues such as WMC, Ultra, Space Terrace, On Broadway, The End Up and many other stages that most DJs could only dream of. In addition, DV spent a considerable amount of time playing in Chicago, where the original house music sounds are from and still influence his sets to this day. With 20 years behind the decks, DV delivers nothing but infectious beats with energetic high hats permeating any dance floor. DV truly understands the meaning of DANCE music, as you will never see any of his crowds not moving. This speaks to DV’s true mastery of what it really means to be a DJ.

REMINDER Nightlife colleagues:
Please be careful when you are done with your duties at the bars, clubs and restaurants.

Too many irresponsible people on the roads. This weekend I was near a death experience after my gig, all due to a few irresponsible & selfish individuals.

Fortunately, I’m well and nothing major seemed to have happened to me other than my car being totaled. All of this caused by irresponsible drivers

I couldn’t agree more with DJ Pierre’s post.

I love music more than anything and I love being a DJ (23 years doing it and will continue) but it makes me sad to see how empty this has become, how it went from talent to just be a popularity contest and the little to almost no soul in the scene these days.

Can we change it or fix it?

I know I will try to continue keeping it real.
