COLLISIONcollective
We are a group of artists from MIT and the Boston area exploring new technologies.
COLLISIONcollective (aka Cc) was founded in 2002 as an offshoot of the MIT student art group, ATat (Arts and Technology at tech), whose charter was to host events showcasing art incorporating technology. Formed by artists and technologists, the COLLISIONcollective is premised on the sometimes abrupt intersection between art and technology. Its practitioners are drawn to this synthesis as the epice

Hi folks,
I have a small show opening up in Waltham on Friday.
If you care to escape to some AC, have some snacks, and look at three of my sculptures that would be great!
Here's the info:
CRMI
Charles River Museum of Industry
154 Moody Street
Waltham, MA 02453
781-893-5410
Opening on Friday 7/26 6PM - 9PM
Here's a little blurb I wrote up for the show:
"Complexly Simply"
This exhibit is a sampling of my sculpture that illustrates some of the overarching concepts I address in my artwork. For this exhibition at CRMI, I was tasked with creating a show that could specifically cross over into a more scientific and educational experience rather than as a pure art exhibit. Grouping these three pieces together allowed me to concentrate the message of my art that frankly was a new experience for me. (These three pieces being "String Theory", "Time Lag", and Where Order and Chaos Meet")
I've thought about these ideas a lot – about how art, math, and music are all related. This is the first time I've had to whittle the ideas down – namely what was it about that that drew me to these mathematical principles? The realization that it was as simple as explaining how I felt connected to all existence and how I feel that there is a pattern to this existence have been a profound experience to me. I am grateful to the Staff and Volunteers of CRMI for the opportunity.
Hope to see you there!
