I do this through painting custom pet portraits (see www.customdogportraits.com), creating uplifting, meditative art for people to use as visual reminders to focus on joy and through a nascent coaching/teaching program that uses art as a way to meditate and bring oneself closer to joy.

Thankful that in the midst of turmoil, loss, & confusion…there’s the outlet of creating.
I’m especially interested in “messing up” the prettiness right now. Adding in the distressed parts (rubbing away paint) & blotches of ink helps channel anger into something outside of myself. Just enough for a comment while still appreciating the beauty (of living, life, family, love…).

Astrid’s 4th baby (Abigail “Coda”) started peeping well before she emerged from her egg! Never heard an egg “peep” before. :) None of the other incubated eggs made it, so we adopted two little ones to keep her company. They’re doing great.
Also…if you’ve never held a baby chick, you should. The peace & grounding that I watch fall over people when they hold them is magic. And that magic is something I also feel, obvi. ;)
