Pine Street Inn’s mission is to end homelessness by providing a home and community for everyone.

Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn is the largest homeless services provider in New England. Pine Street provides a comprehensive range of services including supportive housing, emergency shelter, street outreach and workforce development to over 2,400 individuals each day. Members of Pine Street's outreach team attended Copley Square Park's ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭. The team works closely with the City of Boston to canvas the streets, including parks like this one, to ensure individuals living on the street are fed, hydrated and safe, with the goal of moving them into a home and community. Happy grand opening!

Mental health is a significant factor when addressing homelessness, and Pine Street's clinicians work to connect tenants like Marcus with the support they need to feel seen, heard and cared for in housing.

Family has always been at the center of Shayne’s life. When his father passed away, Shayne turned to substance use to cope with the loss. After entering a treatment program, he began to imagine a different life for himself. He discovered iCaterBoston, Pine Street’s food service job training program, which gave him the chance to grow. With temperatures hitting the 90s for today and tomorrow, the extreme heat becomes a danger for those living on the streets. Recently, Audax volunteered at Pine Street's Men's Inn and Yawkey House shelters. Their team not only worked with our facilities team to clean and spruce up the common areas but also ran lively bingo games and served ice cream to guests.
