Boston Trinity Academy

Last Wednesday, BTA hosted its 25th annual Convocation. Headmaster Emeritus Frank Guerra addressed a packed crowd in our Bradley Center, drawing upon examples from the Bible, the movie Rocky, and his father’s experience in the military to drive home that “what we believe shapes our lives”. His remarks were a great way to get students, staff and other attendees to reflect on how BTA’s mission extends well beyond the classroom and set the tone for the school year ahead.

BTA finished the first week of the school year with two events bringing our Middle School and Upper School communities together. The Middle School Social allowed our youngest students to play games, connect with friends and enjoy some time away from their classes. Our Upper Schoolers attended our Activity Fair, which allowed them to learn about the many ways to get involved, gain leadership skills and make connections at Boston Trinity.

BTA is excited to welcome 8 new faculty, staff members, and administrators this fall. These adult learners bring a wealth of experience to our school and will all be helping out with extracurriculars as well. We can’t wait to see how they contribute to our community!

Last summer, BTA students had the unique opportunity to see their curriculum in action on a trip to Italy. This experience brought together BTA faculty expertise and Dr. David Alvis from Wofford College for an immersive study of the Renaissance and early Christian church. Students traveled from Florence to Rome, exploring Italy’s contributions to art, architecture, religion, literature, history and Western civilization that they had studied at BTA. This journey allowed students to take these concepts outside the classroom, turning academic study into an immersive and memorable experience.

It may only be the first week of school, but we’re already looking forward to next year!

We are starting to recruit our next class of Lions for Fall 2027, and we have many opportunities this fall to discover BTA. If you are interested in learning more about our diverse, Christ-centered community and top-tier academic programs, you can inquire or apply on our website.

Last week, BTA welcomed our newest Lions to campus during our New Student Orientation. Students were able to receive school tours, connect with other new students, student leaders and faculty, and learn about ways they can get involved and feel supported on campus.
These students are ready to make the most of their time at BTA, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

This recognition is a testament to Shoshanna’s leadership, dedication and commitment to helping guide students through the college search process. We are proud to celebrate the impact that she has made on our students.

Earlier this summer, some of our juniors and seniors had the opportunity to lead the Micah Conference, a 3-day conference focused on Biblical social justice at the Ron Burton Training Village () in Hubbardston, MA. Our students brought the leadership skills they have gained on campus into all aspects of the conference, from developing a vision and planning an agenda to bringing their ideas for the conference to fruition and collaborating with mentors at the Trinity Institute and the Training Village to bring everything together.

Wishing the Class of 2026 safe travels and a smooth college move-in week as you begin this exciting new chapter. May your freshman year be filled with meaningful new experiences, lasting friendships, and lots of learning. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing all that lies ahead. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁
