A new home
After MUCH deep thought, and months processing, I am ecstatic about my new home on Instagram that you see here
Some of you have been here since literal day 1 in 2009 when I started my blog, 1FITFOODIE.
Iāve been using the internet to build, connect and share for 13 YEARS with one intention- to build a loyal COMMUNITY
I never made a dime from my blog.
I got on board with Instagram in 2010-ish, and found a brand NEW way to connect, grow and help people
Over the following years, I kept sharing, personal training full time, nutrition coaching ,and taking you along for the ride in its entirety.
When I started my own business in 2018- I had no idea that this decision would lead me to become DEEPLY passionate about helping other fitness professionals use the power of the internet to grow their business and free up time to ease the never ending burnout, I too experienced
I believe passionately in HUMAN CONNECTION; using your brand, superpowers & unique self to be that emotional magnet your clients are drawn to
Itās time for my account to morph, just as I have in my business
Its been a time of reflection, growth, discomfort and a rebirth of sorts, which is the most beautiful of it all.
Change IS uncomfortable. Its why people donāt make the moves they know they need because its āworkā and fear of what others will think
I am multi passionate - I love personal training and I love mentoring. I am an expert in BOTH and I want my new account to reflect motivation, boldness, growth and inspire you to take action in SOME capacity

Youāre missing the most important part of communication when youāre writing your messageā¦
CONTEXT
Because the truth isā¦no one *really* cares unless it matters to them
Talking AT your clients and telling them something that YOU think is important and easy to do, doesnāt mean itās easy, important or necessary for your client
WHY add the deadlifts?
WHY no coffee on an empty stomach?
WHY 30 grams of protein (and what are grams? how often? what type?)
Youāre leaving your clients hanging by telling them to ādo thisā and ādonāt do thisā
I always like to complete the sentence with āso that you canā¦.ā
For example:

āShow up on Instagram stories SO THAT YOU CANā¦.continue building trust with your current audience membersā

āShare more of your day to day life on Instagram SO THAT YOU CAN build trust with your audience and let them see a sneak peek of who you are- creating relatabilityā

My strategy is that there IS no strategy for being present in your life.
Take. Time. Off.
Your business, fans and clients arenāt going anywhere- I promise you this.
In fact, taking time OFF may actually be the one thing you need to revive new ideas, creativity, confidence and decrease your limiting beliefs.
I LOVE using instagram to both grow my business and connect with you - and I also will always tell you to get off this app if youāre finding itās effecting your LIFE
Life isnāt about ālikesā
Life isnāt about beating the algorithm
Life isnāt about a video going viral
Life is about living and being present.
And then coming back to your people.
They will be there.
Your business will be there.

These šš¼ ARE indeed important, but a bio about the years you graduated and became a trainer or the IIN certification you have wonāt connect someone to your story
You are a BRAND
People donāt buy from people and brands they donāt resonate with
YOU are the reason someone will come into your world and stick around no matter one
Itās the same reason why YOU keep buying clothes from one brand or continue to see the same hair stylist.
TRUST
Uncovering and sharing your story isnāt something that happens once and then youāre done. It is woven throughout EVERYTHING you do.
And then again, again and againā¦
And chances are youāre saying āI donāt know where to startā
I will say back: Youāre overthinking it. Tell your people a story. You most likely are your former client.
Share *something* that sticks out to you in your history

If you go to google and type in ābuild an online courseā
You will find pages and pages and pages on launching and selling
And not a whole lot on COURSE CREATION
What happens when people are inside the course?
So people get in and then what?
If your goal is to make this tmost epic, engaging and mind blowing EXPERIENCE (because it is an experience) where your clients will reach their transformationā¦.
Then the COURSE ITSELF has to make sense
I hear from people so often that they got burned from course before because they got inside and they were so overwhelmed
Too many modules, lessons, videos, callsā¦nothing made sense and you had no time or energy to go through it all, AND a huge lack of support throughout
Paying close attention to HOW TO CREATE a course so that your clients will get the transformation you are promising is KEY

The first time I invested in myself and my business, I got a loan from my parents
Itās something I have no shame in admitting.
I didnāt have the money.
I talked to them about my dream to have an online course so I wouldnāt be so burnt out all of the time and it was another way for me to continue to help people
Up until asking for help I was the quintessential fit pro who would run around all day with a 1:1 clients- trying to do anything I could in between sessions, but I was not only so tired, but I had zero direction in what the heck I was doing.
weeks and months and even years went on, and I just kept revisiting the same Google doc š¤¦š»āāļø of ideas and NO ACTION was being taken

I know all too well that the binge/restrict, over exercising/no exercising cycle can be so overwhelming, life consuming and life sucking.
