A great evening all around at our latest Irish Network Boston event last night - “Not Just Networking: Building Relationships That Go the Distance” brought together a fantastic group at the UMass Club, Boston for a really engaging and honest conversation on what building meaningful connections actually looks like over time!

We were delighted to be joined by an outstanding panel who really shared true experiences, great tips and insights on building a valuable network! Thank you to Suzanne Lynch (IDA Ireland) , Luke J. Gibbons (Trinity College Dublin / IAYPN) David Barbato (Talent Retriever) and our fantastic Moderator Michelle Serpa (BDO USA)!

A big thank you to each of them — not just for their insights, but for sharing real experiences. From navigating moves across cities and careers, to the reality of how your approach to networking evolves over time, to the simple (but often overlooked) idea that it’s less about “networking” and more about adding value, staying genuine, and following through.

One theme that really stood out: meaningful connections don’t come from trying to be perfect.. they come from showing up as yourself, being open, and investing in relationships over time.

Thank you as well to the UMass Club for hosting us, always a special setting for these events.

As always, it’s the people who make these events and it was great to see so many familiar and new faces in the room!

A few moments from our Irish Network Boston coffee morning last month ☕️

What stood out (as always). was how easy it felt good conversations, familiar faces, and plenty of new connections without any of the usual “networking” pressure!
If you’ve been to one of our events before, you’ll know it’s less about formal networking and more about building relationships that actually last. ✨☘️

We’re continuing that conversation this Tuesday with:
