Glitche at reSOUND ๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ฅ
Weโre excited to share that our touring artwork โGlitcheโ is now on view April through October, showing daily at reSound in Rockefeller Center, New York City.
Part of a larger exhibition of immersive works, this experience invites touch, sensation, and sound.
โGlitcheโ draws from the idea of a glitchโan error, a rupture, an unexpected shift in a system. The piece refracts this familiar human moment into an environment of animation, light, sound, and sculptural form to step into.
Thank you to the many hands and minds who helped bring this work to life!

Weโre excited to share our collaboration with Boston Lyric Opera on Mahlerโs Song of the Earth, opening tonight (March 20)!
This intimate, reimagined production (directed by Anne Bogart) moves through six songs shaped by ancient Chinese poetry, exploring time, longing, and impermanence.
Opera has always been interdisciplinary at its core: music, text, voice, light, and space woven together. This piece leans fully into that, and weโre honored to contribute our practice in sound, light, and spatial experience.
Arrive early for a pre-show immersive environment: dry bar, tuned soundscapes, and a space to settle in.
This production and storytelling has been a beautiful invitation for our studio bringing together technology, musicality, and perception in new ways.

WaveForms After Glow โง*โ
Four floors. Forty five artists. One night.
The Emerson Paramount Center in Boston became a living current of sound, light, image, and movement. Presented by Museum of Science Boston, WaveForms opened its doors for a free sold out evening of multimedia works unfolding simultaneously across the building.
Bringing together 45 artists and 7 city partners is no small act. What emerged was something electric / a shared field of experimentation, gathering, and creative exchange.
Grateful to every artist, partner, and guest who made this third WaveForms resonate. The afterglow lingers. A few moments beautifully captured by More soon ใฐ

โThe installation reveals something simple and easy to miss. Attention has not disappeared. It is conditional. When an environment removes the incentive to broadcast, people naturally turn inward. MASARY Studios does not compete with the noise of the city. The work listens to it and reflects it back in a way that feels calm rather than commanding.โ

Patterned Behavior ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ
Itโs been beautiful to see the artwork being taken in by the public at Union Square Parkโs Pavilion. Whether it stops the public during their commute or is oneโs destination, the piece is completed by their presence.
We often think of some of our work as โinstrumentsโ in which can be played. โPatterned Behaviorโ does this by picking up on the location of people on the lighted ground areas to then send notes of light and sound into the architectural installation. The piece explores this relationship between the public and building, sound and light, movement and pattern.
