Saturday Pro-Tip: Protect your lenses.
It’s tempting to use your shirt for a quick clean, but the fabric fibers (and any dust trapped in them) can create tiny, permanent micro-scratches over time. Always reach for a clean, dedicated microfiber cloth to keep your vision crisp.
Treat your eyewear like the investment it is! Need a fresh cloth? Stop by the office, we’d love to see you.

Vision changes often happen so gradually that we barely notice them. This June, be proactive about your sight.
Have you noticed colors looking a little less vibrant lately? That’s a common early symptom of cataracts.
Let our team at Vision North give you the clarity you deserve.

Since this was the #1 topic in Thursday’s poll, we wanted to share the professional way to handle a nap gone wrong. If you wake up and your lenses feel "stuck," the most important thing is to be patient.
The Pro-Tip:
1. Hydrate First: Add several preservative-free rewetting drops (or sterile saline) to each eye.
2. The 15-Minute Rule: Wait at least 15 minutes. Blink frequently to allow the moisture to break the suction naturally.
3. The Soft Touch: Only remove the lens once it moves freely on your eye. Forcing a dry lens can cause a painful corneal scratch!
4. The Glasses Day: Give your corneas a full 24 hours to "re-oxygenate" by wearing your backup glasses the next day.
Protecting your eyes from a dry-removal injury is the best way to keep a minor slip-up from becoming a major issue.

Are you a contact lens rule-breaker?
We get it—life happens! But during Healthy Vision Month, we want to remind you that your lenses are medical devices that need a little love to keep your eyes feeling their best.
✨ Replacing as scheduled ensures your eyes get the oxygen they need and prevents the protein buildup that causes that scratchy "end-of-day" feeling.
✨ Removing them nightly gives your corneas a chance to "breathe" and reset. Think of it as a nightly recharge for your vision!
🚫 And the golden rule: NO tap water. Even the cleanest tap water contains tiny microorganisms that can lead to serious infections. Always stick to fresh multipurpose solution for your lenses and your case.
It’s also worth noting that if you find yourself constantly reaching for rewetting drops, it might just be time for an upgrade. Contact lens materials are always improving, with newer designs built specifically for heavy screen use and long days.
At your next check-up, we can look into the latest options to make sure you’re in the most breathable, comfortable lens for your lifestyle.

Cheers to the women who inspire us daily! Between the family group chats and FaceTime calls, Mom’s eyes are working overtime this weekend.
Our Saturday Pro Tip is the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Give those eyes a break so you can focus on what matters!
Happy Mother’s Day from the Vision North family!
