“Quietude” (36”x36”) is one of five new mixed media paintings available through Centre Street Gallery on Nantucket. This piece is just that — quiet, calm, contemplative, simple — after the sun has set, and only the dimming sky illuminates the soft evening tide.

“Golden Day” (30”x30”) is one of five new mixed media paintings available through Centre Street Gallery on Nantucket. I paired this photo taken on a hot hazy August evening with sepia watercolor paint and aged, folded, patina-filled paper material dating back to the 1790s.

I’m excited to share that my art is now represented by Centre Street Gallery on Nantucket, MA. I am working on a collection of Nantucket-themed ocean paintings as part of a larger project (more on that soon.) Authentic antique papers from Nantucket can be tricky to find but I’ve gotten my hands on some treasures this time around — mostly ships logs, coastal surveys, and this beautiful 127-year old newspaper.
