Suffolk was proud to sponsor First Responders Night at Brockton Rox Baseball, bringing together first responders from across the state, Brockton community members, and Suffolk employees and their families for an evening of baseball, family fun, and community connection. The event featured ceremonial first pitches from Suffolk Northeast General Manager Patrick Lucey, Brockton Police Chief Brenda Perez, and Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli.

From a touch-a-truck experience and family picnic to kids running the bases and a book collection supporting Brockton Public Schools, the evening highlighted the power of community partnerships. As Suffolk continues construction of the new Brockton Public Safety Building, which will serve the Brockton Police Department, Fire Department, and Emergency Management Agency, we are honored to support the City of Brockton both on and off the jobsite and celebrate the people who make the community stronger.

Suffolk Estero's School District of Lee County Alva High School project team was proud to welcome students from the Junior Achievement of South Florida Pre-Apprenticeship Program (JA PAP), which exposes high school students to a variety of career pathways to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

Our team educated the group about the construction process through BIM demonstrations, including clash detection, project sequencing, and an overview of upcoming tilt-wall and structural steel operations. Students also experienced the jobsite firsthand through UTV tours of active work areas, giving them a closer look at the many trades and disciplines that bring a project to life.

A special thank you to B&I Contractors, Inc and Bright Future Electric LLC for sharing their insights. At Suffolk, we believe building stronger communities means investing in the next generation of construction professionals and creating pathways for them to learn and succeed.

Our Suffolk USVI and Americaribe LLC joint venture team participated in a Career Exploration event at the Raphael O. Wheatley Skills Center in St. Thomas, where we engaged with students across the HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry programs. During the session, our team introduced students to the Suffolk/Americaribe Joint Venture, shared updates on our school bundle projects on both St. Thomas and St. Croix, and discussed career journeys within the construction industry.

The team also provided insight into how students and future trades professionals can partner with our JV as these projects continue to advance throughout the territory. The event concluded with an open networking session, allowing students to ask questions, make connections, and learn more about career opportunities in construction and the skilled trades.

At each of our jobsites, when we stop and look up, we see this symbol. An emblem that represents the past 250 years of skylines, a present that deserves our attention, and a future just waiting to be built.

This flag flies over us as a reminder: that we're creating something bigger than ourselves.

Suffolk's Estero team recently broke ground on the Village of Estero Sports Park, paving the way for a new regional sports and recreation area designed to serve both residents and visitors.

Located along Williams Road near Estero High School and the Village’s growing Entertainment District, the project will bring a wide range of amenities to the area, including a revived driving range, a soccer stadium, multi-use fields, walking trails, event lawn/pavilion, FHSAA-certified baseball fields, a new football stadium for Estero High School, and supporting facilities.

Using a progressive design-build approach, our local team and national experts from our Sports Center of Excellence are working closely with the Village of Estero and project partners to provide a single source of design and construction services, streamlining the efficiency of the project. What does it look like to actually — brick by brick, beam by beam — build America?

As we reflect on our country's 250th anniversary, we decided to take a trip down memory lane to find out. What we discovered: that grit, curiosity, and camaraderie have always defined this industry. We owe so much to the builders who came before us. Today, we carry their legacy forward.

Suffolk Northeast is excited to announce a major project win for our higher education team: a long-term strategic development partnership with UMass Amherst to help reimagine the student experience at the system’s flagship campus. This initiative will modernize existing housing, expand residential opportunities for students and the broader campus community, and introduce new retail, dining, entertainment, and corporate partnerships.

Part of a broader initiative expected to unfold over the next 10-20 years, this partnership with UMass Amherst will support the university's growing need for on-campus housing while addressing deferred maintenance across its existing portfolio. The partnership builds on a strong, long-standing relationship and reflects a shared commitment to delivering meaningful improvements for the campus community.
