Our own Director Cory Gans joined Kevin and Corey on the KCB Podcast to share his professional journey, discuss the projects and ideas that inspire him, and explore what it means to lead a design studio in today's evolving market.

Along the way, they covered creativity, leadership, craftsmanship, and plenty of tangents in between.

A special thank you to Cradrock Builders for the invitation and spotlight.

Good security isn't visible, but its presence is felt. The invisible design detail, it’s invaluable. For our principal Patrick Planeta, security is always present. That’s why Planeta Design Group and TSP Smart Spaces co-hosted the forum “Inside the Room: What Ultra-High-Net-Worth Security Really Looks Like.”

“Our goal wasn’t to make people feel afraid—it was to make them feel informed,” Patrick explains.

In gardening, if the Earth is the figure and the plants are the clothes, then the beautiful details that surround us are what bring together the ensemble.

Accessories such as unexpected animals, unique seating, or tactile surfaces provide unusual and extraordinary bits of joy.

Take a moment to savor some of my favorite details that bring sense to a garden, and elevate it, leaving us better than when we entered. —Patrick

Although Frieze New York has wrapped, I’m still sitting with what I got to discover last week at The Shed, a beautiful venue that allows the artwork and its creators space to shine. I’m both inspired and moved by the social awareness that many artists were showcasing, using a variety of canvases as their platforms, all while making the world a more beautiful place. – Patrick

The beautiful, historic Tedesco Country Club is hosting a Mass Golf event this week, and has a special place in our heart. The original clubhouse was demolished, and this postcard served as inspiration for the new building that Planeta brought to life.

While on site, wander around the clubhouse and see how Planeta Design Group honored the rich history of the club dating to 1903, while providing modern experiences and amenities.

We’re headed to ICFF, and would love to meet, greet, and network with our friends and fellow attendees! Planeta Design Group designers Rachel and Greg are eager to grab a coffee, stop by booths, and grab an after-hours bite. Book time with them before your schedule, and theirs, books.

The market is heating up, and Modern Luxury Interiors Boston took note with its April feature on hot listings, opening with a spread showcasing a view of our work for the 595 Albany penthouse.

Flip through to see a bit of what makes this space special, and imagine cooking in this amazing kitchen before heading to eat on the private South End roof deck. https://digital.modernluxury.com/publication/?i=862905&p=116&view=issueViewer

For the Bower Boston, we were looking to elevate nature, in the literal sense. When concepting the 14th-floor sky lounge at this multifamily project split between two buildings, we looked to the past to design for the future.

Inspired by the "Impluvium," the central rainwater garden of ancient Roman homes, we conceptualized an internal garden in the sky. This skylit greenhouse offers a lush, tranquil escape only steps from historic Fenway Park. It’s more than an amenity; it’s a respite and opportunity to refocus 14 stories up.

Each project, whether a new build or a transformation of an existing structure, begins by grounding our approach in a deep understanding of the site. Respect for the land, its history, and its ecological systems informs every design decision, shaping spaces that are both responsive and enduring.

We recognize that we are guests, and what we are creating should work alongside, blend in, and even give back to this Earth. Slide through to see some practices we abide by out of respect and honor to the space.

I’m always fascinated by how visual connections form, both in my mind and within the world of design. The interplay of memory and materiality, shaped through the distinct visions of different artists, is what gives rise to meaningful work. It’s endlessly inspiring, and a big part of why I love what I do. Patrick Planeta
