In her latest analysis, CEIR VP of Research Nancy Drapeau, IPC examines how exhibitors allocate their total marketing budgets across channels, and the findings are striking. Visit Fort Worth has promoted COO Mitch Whitten to CEO, positioning the longtime tourism executive to lead the city’s rapidly growing visitor and convention economy. Whitten will oversee advancement of Fort Worth’s $3.6 billion hospitality industry, which supports 30,000 jobs, attracts 1.7 million overnight visitors annually from beyond 50 miles, and generates $280 million in state and local taxes, according to Visit Fort Worth’s 2025 State of the Fort Worth Visitor study.
