RAR-MA is an early literacy family engagement organization working to close the literacy opportunity gap by helping families develop high impact home reading routines. Our goal is to close the literacy opportunity gap among children birth to age six in under-resourced communities by helping families develop and practice shared home reading habits. For 20 years, the Raising a Reader Massachusetts team has been working to put high-quality books into the hands of children throughout Massachusetts, as well as working with trusted community partners to provide early literacy support and materials to parents and caregivers. As we celebrate, we also realize that there's still work to be done.
