What a lovely way to spend Xmas Eve…drawing how I’d like my 2026 to be. 🤩😍

Happy almost Halloween!

In my world it’s 158 days on from my surgery, and suddenly it’s 57 days to Christmas. My favourite season.

I’m chugging through 2025, some days I wonder when summer is coming, and other days I realise I slept through most of it. I was trying to draw how my 2025 has been, and seriously, this has been it. Suspended in space…waiting for news, for recovery, for surgical sites to heal and for the energy to grab life again. Someone said I’ll reach the point where “this” isn’t the first thing I think of when I wake up. That’s certainly true on day 158. ❤️

In my sketch book I’ve the Cartier exhibition at the V&A to share, thank you to for whisking me off to experience its exquisiteness, it’s the most glamour I’ve seen this year.

Other unfinished works of art include a Cotswolds retreat, the new staircase at Fortnum’s and there’s some character development in progress 🤩🤩. I’m working on my first book, and I want to share all of it and none of it. I’m waiting for a trademark to come through and I can share a whisker ;-).

Meantime, enjoy cosy / traitors / knitting season.

Shout out to Ms Kumar who on 24.5.25 saved my life and then made me go to bed for 3 months. I have nothing but gratitude for her and love for my squad who protected me whilst life stopped and I struggled to get started again.

During my bed-ridden summer I learnt that love shows itself in many ways, and I will be forever grateful for the daily pictures, the hand cream, soups, jigsaws, sleep spray, books, flowers and, of course, the time busy people gave me, when all I had was time. I learnt what unconditional love really is, that family is everything and friends are the most precious gift.

Ms Kumar’s last words to me were “You’re clear. Go live your life”.

Life Lately…

Sometimes life asks us to pause. After a whirlwind few weeks I’m stepping away for a short while to focus on my health and healing.

I’ll be back from 1st August, and I truly can’t wait to pick up my pens, paints and pixels again. Your support & kindness mean the world.
