These masks are lovingly created by Q***r people. They have 2 layers of 100% cotton fabric and ties. They are reversible, washable and reusable. One side is all rainbow, the other is black framed with rainbow.

When the Covid-19 pandemic began to close businesses, theaters were among the first affected. By March 12 even Broadway had announced its temporary closure. As all of our work disappeared overnight, we turned our skills to a new project: fabricating masks.

After designing fantastical dancewear and building historic gowns, we are now designing and building fabric masks to combat the spread of Covid-19. Ordering from us protects your and your community’s health while allowing theater artists to continue making a living from their craft during this unprecedented time.

We offer a range of styles in fabrics from whimsical prints to classic solids and customizable sizes for the whole family. All of our masks are machine washable and made in the USA. In addition to making masks to sell, The Fabricators donate masks and mask-making materials for distribution to hospitals and other communities in need, so your support of the theatre community benefits the health of your neighbors.

The Semi-Fitted Mask

Made with 2 layers of fabric, with 3 pleats, and ties, this mask also features darts at the nose and chin for a closer fit.

Choose from vibrant tropical prints from French Polynesia, traditional batik and block prints from Ghana, traditional solids, or whimsical prints featuring dinosaurs or flamingos. The reverse has solid natural muslin, gray Kona cotton, or other solid.

These masks are lovingly created from (temporarily) out-of-work theatre-makers. They are reversible, washable and reusable. All masks are made from 100% cotton, unless otherwise specified.
